Our Vessel
Home Shore is a classic wooden commercial vessel, reminiscent of yesteryear's adventure travel.
Carvel-planked in the centuries-old tradition, Home Shore was stoutly built of old-growth fir for service in the North Pacific. Since in 1984, the Kyle family has employed her in the Alaska salmon purse-seine fishery.
Building on the loving care given Home Shore during her fishing years, the Kyles converted her for passenger service in 2002. You will enjoy this unique small 3 combining yacht-like amenities with old-world charm.
Now, as a charter yacht, her clean lines and unique configuration attract attention wherever she travels.
Beyond her classic charm and exceptional seaworthiness, Home Shore offers guests other advantages - the natural warmth and quiet of a wooden boat, above-deck staterooms filled with light and fresh air, heated common areas for lounging and dining.
To preserve the tranquility of serene anchorages, we use a silent 110 V inverter
instead of a noisy generator.
